The GISU Robotics Club is a secondary school (year 7-8-9-10) robotics program at Galaxy International School Uganda. The club aims to train students who have the passion to excel in building and programming robots to take in any National and International competitions.
DESCRIPTION:
Students learn the basics of building and programming robots using LEGO MINDSTORM under the instructions of a capable robotics trainer.
Our mission not only builds great robots, but also to support students’ involvement in STEM (Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology) fields.
The purpose of the Robotics Club is to promote the integration of science, technology, engineering, and math among high school students. Participating in GISUTECH and INFOMATRIX (Romania) is an exciting experience for anyone interested in robotics, engineering, technology. It is a wonderful opportunity to see how mathematics, science, and communication skills transform into fully functional robots.

International Competitors in Robotics - INFOMATRIX
Galaxy International School participated in the 2014 INFOMATRIX International Project Competition in Bucharest, Romania, and was awarded silver and two bronze medals.
The international young inventors project Olympiad - IYIPO
Galaxy International School Uganda was awarded with a bronze medal from Tbilisi- Georgia IYIPO. Our project was WATER SAVER MACHINE that helps to conserve water and awarded a bronze medal.
GOLDEN CLIMATE KENYA
Galaxy International School Uganda participated in the Golden Climate Environmental Project Olympiad at junior category that held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi and awarded a bronze medal.

Welcome to Galaxy International School Uganda
Galaxy International School Uganda (GISU) is a co-educational school located in Lubowa, 10km from Kampala, along the Kampala-Entebbe Road. Turn off before Roofings Ltd. and continue along the main road through the housing estate, about 300 metres from Quality Supermarket, the school is on the left.
The school provides international education to students between 2 and 19 years of age. From kindergarten to year 13 students are taught using student-centred methods. Emphasis is on the development of the whole person.
Students in years 10 and 11 are prepared for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination and those in years 12 and 13 are prepared for Cambridge A level examination.
These examinations administered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) are recognised worldwide.
The school is privately owned with a Board of Governors and the day to day running of the school is managed by the Principal. The school is staffed with qualified and experienced staff from UK, USA, Canada, Turkey and East Africa.
